Centres of Computer Literacy were opened within the framework of the "Your Course" initiative of the PRIOR’s Partner Microsoft on the basis of Kaliningrad Centralized Library System (Central City Library n.a. Anton Chekhov), Center of Creative Development and Liberal Education (Information Technologies) and non-governmental educational institution "Oleg Vidyakin’s Educational Centre". The solemn opening ceremony was attended by representatives of Administration of Kaliningrad urban district, Ministry of Culture of Kaliningrad Region Government, Microsoft Representative Office in Russia, "Your Course: Increase of computer Literacy" project managed by other PRIOR participant PH International, and also representatives of other companies and organizations.

Centres will hold free of charge trainings on basics of computer literacy. Courses aim at providing for mastering of ICT by vulnerable segments of the population (like the unemployed, the disabled, pensioners, etc) and helping them to find decent place at labour market and preserve active social and living attitude.

In 2010 it is planned to open about 100 centres of computer literacy in Russia operating in each subject of the RF. All in all within more than 1 million people will be able to undergo trainings the framework of the All-Russia "Your Course" initiative in 3 years.
